AM
BB Gymnastics
1) 10 minutes to work up to a heavy but not maximal Power Clean & Power (Push) Jerk.
Notes: Work up to the limitations of your technique. I.e. your heaviest lift should not be slop, it should be technically clean.
175. The power clean was easy.  My jerk was a little shaky.
2) EMOM for 7 minutes perform 3 Power Clean & Power (Push) Jerks @ 85% of the above.
Started with 160. got through 2 rounds and dropped down. Finished through the 8th minute with 155. :) Form suffered a bit.
Strength
1a) 4X5 1&1/4 Front Squats – heavier than last week, rest 60 sec.
145, 165, 175, 180
1b) 4X8,6,4,2 Strict HSPU + ME Kipping HSPU – regionals standard, rest 60 sec.
Notes: If you cannot get through the strict HSPU, then go to 1 rep short of complete failure and switch.
8+25, 6+30, 4+32, 2+33
Conditioning
10 minute AMRAP of:
100′ KB Overhead Carry 32/24kg (2 KB 2 arms)
5 Muscle-Ups
25 Absolutely Vertical KBS 32/24kg
2 rounds + 2 MU. This was awful. KBS were hard today.

PM
Three rounds for time of:
50 Double-unders
40 Sit-ups
30 Medicine ball cleans, 20 pound ball
20 Pull-ups
10 Handstand push-ups
13:47 at about 80%.  Everything UB except the medball cleans.  I used 20lb ball as well. All HSPU were strict and UB.  Easy and fun.

BB Gymnastics
1) 7X1 3 Position Snatch (low to high) – rest 60 sec. DEMO VIDEO
Notes: Do not load heavy unless you are proficient through every position. This is a technique and speed drill (working turnover when fatigued), but you may go heavier as long as there are no misses or slop reps.
Worked up to 115. Felt easy and smooth.
Strength
1a) 3 X ME Bench Press @ 95% – rest 60 sec.
Was feeling off today on this so went down to 135 and finally got up to 150 by the last set.
135-4reps, 145-3 reps, 150-2 reps?
1b) 3 X 8 Good Mornings – heavy, rest 60 sec. DEMO VIDEO
105, 125, 135
Conditioning
4 rounds for time of:
30 Front Squats @ 115/75#
15 T2B
15 Lateral Box Jumps 24″ DEMO VIDEO
15:59 Focused on not bending over at all and getting oxygen in.  Went way too slow but I'm getting better and that's what is important. Front Squats were 30, 16/8/6, 16/9/5, 16/9/5.  Had a plan and wanted to stick to it.  T2B were UB.  Lateral box jumps were slow and suck because they are at least half my body height.  So thankful for a rest day.  I need it.  I was laying on the ground pouting before this workout started today because I was dreading it so much. I guess it shows in my time.  On to the next one. REST TOMORROW. yay!

Saturday, 120512
Pound 4 Pound in Montgomery, AL.  They put you in weight classes and all your workouts are divided by your weight class.
Competition was canceled half way through. It sucked and was super unorganized.
WOD 1:
8 min AMRAP
2 snatch (pick your weight)
150m row.
I chose 115 which is light but they were using men's bars and were slippery. 6 rounds completed. Took 2nd place on this workout.

WOD 2:
20 minute AMRAP
Run 1000m and in remaining time "CINDY" (AMRAP 5 pullups, 10 pushups, 15 air squats)
then run 1 mile for time.
Score is total rounds of cindy and then seperate score for mile.
I think I did about 14 rounds of cindy which is horrible and my mile time sucked as well.  4th on Cindy and 20th on the mile run.
WOD 3:
8 minute AMRAP
2 clean and jerk (choose your weight)
6 lateral burpees
I chose 120 and should have gone heavier. 1st place on this workout.
At this point, I was in 5th because of the run and they called the competition due to the weather.  It was also two hours behind schedule and they really over stretched themselves. It is also bad that a girl that is 110# won.  I think that is stupid.  Oh well.  After 4 workouts, and might I add that the 4th workout would have been the best for me, they were going to wipe the slate clean and whatever your score on wod 5 was who won but they canceled. We stayed in Montgomery that night to rest and relax and eat really bad.
This was my husband's first competition and I am so proud of him!  He did an awesome job and was still there for me and helping me. He competed in the intermediate division and accomplished his goal!  Could not be more thrilled that he was there and by my side. :)

U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Mark Forester, 29, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, assigned to the 21st Special Tactics Squadron, based in Pope Air Force Base, North Carolina, died on September 29, 2010, while conducting combat operations in Uruzgan province, Afghanistan. He is survived by his parents Ray and Pat, and siblings Terri, David, Joseph and Thad.

42:14 This was absolutely awful.  The KB clean and Jerk at 53 was enough to about kill me or at least put huge bruises on my forearms and biceps.  Glad I did it though.  Nothing else was hard about this excpet for the 800m at the end and the huge stitch I got in my side.  Ice packs on my arms immediately after to reduce the swelling and damage.  Proof below.

12:40 Slow as Christmas, but still trying to get back in the groove since Regionals.  Felt pretty good though.  I pushed it too hard last week and the beginning of this week and now I'm paying for it.  No more. Rest is my best friend and one session a day (well, if you call the above one session because it's probably more like 3) is plenty.  I am super sore from 1x20 back squats but a good kind of sore.  Happy to be hitting heavy back squats again. Two hundo for 20 next week...yikes and yay all in one.
Rest day tomorrow.
